Hi! I’m Dionna, and welcome to my portfolio!

I’m a freelance writer, music and culture critic, and editor based in Boston. Currently, I am in my final semester at Emerson College, where I major in journalism and minor in sociology and anthropology. I have a diverse portfolio on various topics but my passion lies in creative nonfiction and writing about music and culture. I am also an experienced copy editor familiar with both the Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook. At the moment, in addition to my work as a freelancer, I am interning with Boston Children’s Hospital, where I edit and co-author chapters of the upcoming textbook APERT SYNDROME: Comprehensive Care of the Patient and Family, a groundbreaking open-access textbook set to be published by Springer in 2025.
